Phew...Am I glad Week 4 is OVER!

It has been an exhausting week especially on my eyes.  Sign of old-age, I suppose.  I have been online the longest this week and am still not totally satisfied with my lesson plan.  I feel that I still need to source and checkout more online resource.  I was quite excited when I came across Animoto (something like Dvolver Moviemaker).

The week started with extensive reading which I read intensely.  In fact I read them twice as during my first reading I was interrupted by some household matters I had to attend to.

I enjoyed exploring the websites and analyzing their suitability for my classes.  More and more I am convinced of the fact that the resource for us, teachers, is a goldmine waiting to be accessed.  How wonderful to be exposed to such a wealth of online teaching materials!

My hardest task was writing the technology-enhanced lesson plan ~ a daunting task.  I still have the 'fear' of whether what I wrote is right.  I feel inadequate as to whether I have the guts to use digital teaching aids in class.  I have always downloaded materials for my classes but have yet to try digital learning.  I do feel very strongly about the fact that a technology-enhanced lesson definitely addresses the learning styles in my students BUT I need to get over my own feelings of insecurity...

Well, that's all for now...take care and have a fantastic week 5

  1. Dear Pam

Thanks for dropping by at my blog. What a beginning! Your eyes are tired, but your dissatisfaction tells me that you are still young. So eager to learn new things. Like me, you were also interrupted during this week. The last paragraph speaks volumes about your frankness. It's not easy to admit publicly that your hardest task was designing a technology-enhanced plan. Admission of our limitations takes us to our desired destination.

All the best for Week 5

  2. Hi Pam,

I KNOW that you are capable and able of adding digital learning into your classroom! All you need to do is jump in--one step at a time.

  3. Dear Pam
You are obviously different than others! After reading your post I came to know that you have a perfectionist nature that I lack, but want to get soon. I am also glad that you feel ease to use technology in your lesson plan.
I would like to read more and more reflections by you in future too!
    Regards,

  4. Dear Pam,
Going through your blog means, for me,revitalizing the latent vigor, strength and zeal. Space and time can't strangle the possibility of learning and sharing that is what we are exactly doing.I feel your blogs and ideas simple inspire us to move further. Being entangled in my own problems, I have been late to post the task these days, still your ideas and enthusiasm on Computer Assisted Language Learning and other technology assisted learning methods are competent enough to ignite our learning passion. This week I too was not much sure and had doubts about my technology assisted lesson plans, albeit I posted it referring the given webpage. I use downloaded materials and power point presentation as you do, for class discussion, interactions and debates, but I don't have experience of such classes solely based technology. Anyway we are on the way and person like you is an integral part of this journey.
