This week though not very taxing has in fact exhausted me. I started on a good note. I enjoyed the readings and completed the discussion.
The PP has got me running in circles. I want it so much to be an Interactive lesson; one complete lesson which I can use in my project. However, the second link has not turned out well and after saving into PP show, when I open it, it looks UGLY!! So I have been sitting one whole day reading and watching you tube on creating Interactive Power Points; yet I am so very dissatisfied. But I am mentally exhausted...hopefully a dreamless good night's sleep will do the trick.
Nevertheless, I must admit that this is an amazing journey...only when we are put into 'hot water' ie under pressure, do we excel...if not for Webskills, I am pretty sure, my eyes will remain close to the online repertoire.

I deleted the 'old' PP and started afresh. Yes, it was difficult but not impossible; and had to do some cross referencing when I could not fit the video from you tube in; harassed my teenage kids to help as they are always on you tube; and 'voila!' ~ finally it was solved...but what a wonderful learning journey it was.
There are so many amazing and selfless people to thank for all the 'stuff' available online. I stand in awe of how much a teacher can resource form the Internet. BUT "The harvest is plentiful, the workers are few"?
I long to share what little I have accessed with some of my peers...
Now I need to seriously focus on the Project...time is flying way too fast...
See you next week...PAM

Hello Pamela!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for your hard job on the power point presentation! It is nice! I also used a video to develop mine. I imagine how it was hard for you because when I started to use ppt I felt the same.
When I saw your post’s title I could agree totally with you. This week was really intense because we had tons of information about interactive classes on the internet that it made us feel dizzy, and do not know what to read first.
The good point is that you are whacked out but at the same time, you are amazed for all the wonderful possibilities to improve your classes and maybe become like the perfect online teacher in the picture.
See you next week, too!
Claudia
Hello, Pam
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean.... I have been busy this week, and just today I had some free time to start working on my PowerPoint presentation. I have used standard Power Point several times, but the big deal was to make it interactive. Well, I watched some videos and I got some ideas and I did it after some hours... I hope it is right.
Have a nice day
Sincerely
JC
